Amid the ongoing power tussle in Punjab, sources have said Captain Amarinder Singh may float a new political party within the next fortnight with only months left for the assembly elections.
Amarinder Singh, who resigned earlier this month amid bitter turmoil in the Punjab Congress, met Amit Shah at his residence on Wednesday, triggering speculation of him joining the BJP ahead of the assembly elections. However, Amarinder Singh said that he had raised security concerns along with the farmers' issue, during the meeting.
