INEC TO NOW DECIDE ON E-TRANSMISSION
In what is being described as victory for Nigerians, the Senate has finally approved the electronic transmission of election results subject to INEC's discretion. In a bid to widen democratic participation, it also approved the use of direct primaries by political parties.
APC, PDP HOLD STATE CONGRESSES
Nigeria is ruling party, the All Progressives Congress APC, and the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party. on Saturday held their State congresses as part of preparations for the conduct of Party Conventions that will usher in new executives at the national level.
STATE GOVS MAKE RENEWED CASE FOR STATE POLICE
State Governors of Lagos, Kaduna, Edo and Ekiti are making a renewed case for state policing to help mitigate the problems of insecurity and promote investments.
MIDTERM MINISTERIAL RETREAT REVIEW
After two days of brainstorming, the Nigerian Government has come to the conclusion that for the country to experience sustained growth, there will have to be more investment in the Education and health care of the people. This was part of the recommendations from the mid term ministerial performance retreat in Abuja.
ISWAP LEADER AL-BARNAWI IS DEAD
Nigeria's Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor has confirmed the death of Abu Musad Al-Barnawi,, eader of the Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP).
NEW VACCINATION RULES FOR CIVIL SERVANTS
From the 1st of December, all Federal civil servants will be required to present a vaccine certificate or a negative covid-19 test done within 72 hours, to gain access to their offices.
